KDP Setup

Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing has made it possible for individuals to get their books in the hands of readers, whether in print or ebook form. Readers buy your books, you get paid by Amazon, and you retain full rights to your work.

What you get

I will get you up and running on the KDP platform, teach you how to use it, and hand over the keys to you.

Readers can buy your book directly on Amazon, with a purchase page just like any traditionally published book. (See mine for an example.)

You can make updates whenever you want.

Neither I nor Amazon have any claim to your book - you retain full ownership.

You’ll get paid directly by Amazon. At no point will I have access to your financial data.

Currently, KDP royalties are:

  • Ebooks: 70% for ebooks priced between $2.99 and $9.99, and 35% for other prices.

  • Print: 50-60% depending on purchase price, after the cost of printing.

  • Kindle Unlimited (Optional): Variable multiplier based on pages read and number of KU subscribers.
